Ice Dogs Fall To Everblades, 3-2

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs (3-2-0) lost their second game of the season Friday, and second game in a row at home, as the Florida Everglades (4-3-0) stole two points on the road. The Everblades offensive pressure led them to a victory as they rolled past the Ice Dogs, out-shooting Long Beach 43 to 22, in a tough fought see-saw battle.

The Everblades jumped out to an early lead as Matt Hendricks, assisted by Matt Pagnutti and Ernie Hartlieb, at 12:52 in the first period, converted on the power play. Long Beach answered back with a goal from Chris Kenady at 1:05 in the second, assisted by Gary Zinck and Christian Larrivee. Florida answered right back with a goal from Ernie Hartlieb, at 2:57 of the second, assisted by Brad Church. Long Beach fought back to tie the game at 2 a piece as Trevor Read converted on the power play at 18:29.
