
Hurricane Katrina relief efforts at the Hoover Met

HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORTS AT THE HOOVER MET BIRMINGHAM, AL -The Birmingham Barons and the American Red Cross will be using the Hoover Met as a location for donations throughout this upcoming weekend. The Met will serve as a donation center for clothing and toiletry items as well as a site for monetary donations.
The American Red Cross will have volunteers at every Barons home game for the rest of the season accepting monetary donations and the stadium will also serve as a donation center for much needed clothing and toiletry items for the foreseeable future. Individuals may bring their items for donation to the Barons office any time during the normal business hours of 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday or during Barons home games.
Also, the Barons will be donating half of all ticket sales on tickets purchased from Friday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 4th to the American Red Cross's Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
