Huml reassigned to Providence

The Providence Bruins announced today that left wing Ivan Huml has been reassigned to the team by the Boston Bruins. Huml was recalled by Boston on December 29 and played in five games. He began the season in Boston, playing two games before being reassigned to Providence on October 15. The 22-year-old native of Kladno, Czech Republic has 7-4-11 totals and 23 PIM in 22 games with the P-Bruins, and no points and 6 PIM in seven games with Boston.

The 6'2", 200-pound Huml is in his fourth professional season. He has 58-45-103 totals and 168 PIM in 207 career games with the P-Bruins, while ranking sixth on the franchise career list in games played. He also has 6-12-18 totals and 36 PIM in 49 career NHL games with Boston. Huml was Boston's fourth pick, 59th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bruins host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Providence Bruins Hat Night, on Friday, January 16 at 7:05 p.m. The first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Providence Bruins hat, courtesy of the Rhode Island Lottery and WPRI CBS-12/WNAC Fox 64.

The Providence Bruins game against the Binghamton Senators on Monday, January 19 has been changed from 4:05 p.m. to 1:05 p.m.
