Perrin and Trepanier Fuel the Offense as Hershey Beats Norfolk, 2-1

Eric Perrin scored the game winning goal just 25 seconds into overtime as the BEARS beat the Norfolk Admirals 2-1 at the Scope in their final meeting in Virginia. Pascal Trepanier tied the game for HERSHEY with just 1:23 remaining in regulation. With the two points, the BEARS (51 points) move to within four points of idle first place Bridgeport (55 points).

Norfolk would score their only goal in the first period until Pascal Trepanier would tie the game for HERSHEY at 1-1 in the third period with 1:23 left in regulation. Shane Willis, returning to the BEARS line-up for his first game since November 30 after being recalled to the Tampa Bay Lightning, would make his presence felt with his first of two assists on the night. Eric Perrin would also assist on Trepanier's goal.

Perrin would send the BEARS home with two points with his overtime goal just 25 seconds into the extra session. The goal, assisted by Willis, would also give Perrin two points on the night, extending his point streak to four games. Peter Budaj made 27 saves on 28 shots for the victory.

HERSHEY returns to action Friday night as they face the Philadelphia Phantoms at the Wachovia Spectrum. Game-time is 7:05 pm. John Walton will have all of the action from press row, beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 pm on BIG 92.7 FM.
