Houston Aeros News Release

The Houston Aeros are celebrating their 15th Anniversary season this year. To honor this time in the organization's history, we will be featuring major factors of the Houston Aeros success each month throughout the season.

February- Minnesota Wild and Houston Aeros

Two defining moments in Houston Aeros history were finalized in 2001, one of which came when the Aeros were named the primary affiliate of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). This partnership also brought the Aeros into the American Hockey League (AHL), and on July 8, 2004 the Aeros adopted a red, green and gold color scheme to link the two teams. The seven year relationship with the Minnesota Wild has seen the advancement of players and coaches into the prime of hockey. This month we honor our relationship and partnership with the Minnesota Wild.

A total of 50 players who have played with the Aeros have also dressed for games with the Minnesota Wild. These players have been drafted by, traded for or have worked their way into the Wild system and have eventually made it to the NHL club. Below is an alphabetical list of players who have skated for both the Aeros and the Wild in their career. The players in bold are still in the Minnesota Wild system.
