B-Sens and UHS Presents "I Heart Hockey"
February 3, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Binghamton Senators News Release
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators and United Health Services (UHS) have teamed to present I Y Hockey on Friday, Feb. 13 when the B-Sens host the Hershey Bears at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. February is National Heart Month, and I Y Hockey is being held to increase awareness about heart disease in the Greater Binghamton community.
UHS offers a variety of cardiac care services, and wants the public to understand that several new technologies and procedures are available to treat heart disease along with cardiac rehabilitation services. At I Y Hockey, representatives from Binghamton General Hospital and Wilson Medical Center will provide information about these offerings and methods to improve heart health.
The first 1,000 people through the doors at I Y Hockey will receive a heart magnet, courtesy of UHS. Heart fun facts will be displayed on the video boards throughout the night. Several family-friendly activities are planned as well. Fans are encouraged to wear red in support of I Y Hockey. Doors open to the public at 6 p.m.
An I Y Hockey ticket package is available for $17, which includes admission to the game and a special I Y Hockey B-Sens T-shirt. Five dollars from each ticket package will go to the UHS Foundation to benefit heart care programs.
I Y Hockey ticket packages are available at the Binghamton Senators' executive office on the third floor of the Arena.
