Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI - The Corpus Christi Hooks placed a division-leading eight players on the 2016 Texas League South All-Star roster, announced Tuesday by league president Tom Kayser.
Shortstop Alex Bregman and outfielders Derek Fisher and Teoscar Hernandez were voted in as starters. Third baseman J.D. Davis made the team as a reserve infielder. The Hooks will also be represented by pitchers Brian Holmes, Brendan McCurry, David Paulino, and Keegan Yuhl.
The 80th Texas League All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, June 28, at Springfield's Hammons Field.
All-Stars were voted on by club field staffs, radio announcers, and beat writers.
