Honkers Lose Longest Nine-Inning Game in Northwoods History

The Rochester Honkers (28-29, 10-13) lost game two of a series vs the Bismarck Larks (23-35, 7-17) 16-15 in a four-and-a-half-hour marathon that marked the longest nine-inning game in the 30-year history of the Northwoods League.
Brendan O'Sullivan (UNLV) and Dario Gomez (University of Miami) combined for five hits and 11 RBIs as Rochester finished the game with fifteen hits. The game saw multiple lead changes, with the Flock leading 12-6 in the sixth inning and 15-12 in the ninth inning.
With Sam Hanson (Seattle) on looking for a two-inning save, the Larks scratched across four runs in the final frame and secured their walk-off on a hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded.
Rochester continues on the road to play the Minot Hot Tots on Saturday. Scheduled first pitch time is 6:35 p.m.
