North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers opened their final homestand of the season with a 5-3 win over the Corpus Christi Hooks on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Tyler Herb fired six shutout innings with a season high nine strikeouts on his way to the win. Four Traveler batters collected multi-hit games. Joe Rizzo scored two runs while Jordan Cowan had two extra base hits and two runs batted in. Dayeison Arias pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his second save.

Moments That Mattered

* Arkansas scored three times in the second inning. Patrick Frick had an RBI single with one out. Then with two down, Julio Rodriguez and Zach DeLoach each connected for RBI hits.

* With a two run lead in the final inning, Arias walked the first batter. He then rallied to strike out the next three hitters including a pair of pinch-hitters to end the game.

* The Mariners promoted LHP Ray Kerr to Triple-A Tacoma before the game and reinstated RHP Collin Kober from the Travs injured list.
