Heesch Activated For Cougars

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs, have announced that pitcher Armando Rivero has been promoted to Class-A Advanced Daytona, while pitcher Michael Heesch has been activated from the disabled list. Heesch is expected to start tonight's 6:30 p.m. game against Wisconsin. Tickets are available by calling (630) 232-8811 or by ordering online at kccougars.com.
Rivero joined the Cougars on June 20 and was signed by the Cubs this past spring. In 11 appearances, the right-hander struck out 28 batters in 18.1 innings of work and hadn't allowed an earned run in his last five outings. Heesch has a 3.82 ERA in 18 games, 16 of which were starts.
