The Kernels only have three more home stands before the end of the regular season, so make sure to take in a Kernels game soon! Here's a preview of what you can expect these next four dates:
August 3-6 vs. Quad Cities
The Kernels open a four game home stand against the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Midwest League affiliate of the Houston Astros.
A BIG day and night is on tap for Saturday, August 3rd when the Kernels take on Quad Cities at 5:05 pm. It's our annual Jimmy Buffett Night - the Kernels will be wearing special jerseys that will be sold via a silent auction during the game. The game will be broadcast LIVE on KCRG 9.2. Then after the game stick around for a post-game concert by the Cedar Island Band and a spectacular FIREWORKS show at dusk. Fireworks night are VERY popular and great seats sell out quickly, so call the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560 or reserve your tickets on-line at www.kernels.com NOW!
A fun afternoon of baseball is on tap when the Kernels take on Quad Cities at 2:05 pm on Sunday, August 4th. It's a 104.5 KDAT Run the Bases Sunday where fans can run the bases, play catch in the outfield and get autographs from the Kernels on the field after the game. This is the last Sunday to play Vacation Baseball Bingo, presented by Travel Advisors and the Radisson near Mall of America for a chance to win a trip to Minneapolis and see the Twins play. Papa Balloon will be here with face painting by Kennedy Wilson. It's also a Bike to the Ballpark game. Fans are encouraged to ride their bikes to the ballpark and park in the safe parking provided by New Belgium Brewing. All those riding their bikes to the game and parking inside the stadium will be registered for a 4 pack of tickets to the New Belgium Pavilion outing on August 15th. Gates open at 1:00 pm with first pitch between the Kernels and River Bandits set for 2:05 pm.
The home stand continues on Monday, August 5th with Dollar Monday where regular hot dogs, small popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, chips and Cracker Jacks are each $1. Plus, get $1 taquitos at the Hacienda Las Glorias / La Cantina Mexican Cart. The Cedar Valley Regional Blood Center will be conducting a Blood Drive outside the stadium from 2 until 6:30 pm. Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Quad Cities is set for 6:35 pm.
The home stand concludes on Tuesday, August 6th with Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips. The Kernels will wear special replica Twins jerseys that will be sold via a silent auction at the end of the season. Get an on-line coupon from the Kernels Facebook page or email newsletter for a 2 for 1 ticket offer at Tuesday home games as part of Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips. And, one lucky fan will win a pair of Minnesota Twins tickets, given away at every Tuesday home game.

Free Money Wednesday: Up to $1,000 will be given away at the main gates at every Wednesday home game with $100 as the top cash prize.
Z 102.9 Thirsty Thursday: 12 oz. regular draft beer, 20 oz. bottled soda and water are just $2.00 all game. Plus get $1 off margaritas at the Hacienda Las Glorias / La Cantina Mexican Cart.
98.1 KHAK Kernels Friday Mug Club: Buy a 16 oz. souvenir mug filled with your favorite regular draft beer or soda for just $6.00 and get refills at the Kernels concessions stands for just $3.00. Bring the mug back to every Kernels Friday home game for those $3.00 refills.
Tickets for all Kernel home games are available on-line at www.kernels.com; in person at the Kernels Ticket Office, or by calling 896-7560 during Ticket Office Hours. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
