
Heat Reassign Nyren and Carpentier

Abbotsford Heat News Release
ABBOTSFORD BC - The Abbotsford Heat of the AHL has today assigned defenseman Giffen Nyren and forward Hugo Carpentier to the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL.
Nyren, 21, from Calgary, Alberta, is in his first year of professional hockey after spending the past four seasons in the WHL. In 15 games this season with the Heat, Nyren scored once and added three assists.
Carpentier, 22, from Hull, Quebec, is in his third season of professional hockey after spending four seasons with Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL. Carpentier appeared in nine games with the Heat this season, scoring one goal and adding one assist.
The Heat will entertain the Manitoba Moose in back to back games in Abbotsford this week. The first game will be Monday night at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre, with the game time at 7 PM.
