STOCKTON, Calif. - Led by a three-point effort from Dillon Dube, the Stockton Heat overcame a slow start en route to a 5-2 win over divisional foe San Diego Friday night at Stockton Arena. The Heat fell behind 2-0 in the game's opening period until Tyler Graovac put Stockton on the board, cutting the deficit in half just 25 seconds after the Gulls scored their second of the night. The second period was all Stockton, which got goals from Juuso Valimaki, Buddy Robinson and Glenn Gawdin over a span of just 3:42 to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 edge. Dube's tally in the third put the nail in the coffin with his 10th goal and 30th point of the season for a 5-2 lead. Jon Gillies was once again strong between the pipes for the Heat, turning away 34 of 36 shots faced in the contest.

- Tyler Graovac's first-period goal was his first since Feb. 9, snapping a streak of five games without a score.

- The Heat racked up 22 shots on goal in the first period, the highest shot total in a period for the Heat this season. The mark bested the previous high of 21, set against San Diego on Nov. 25.

- Juuso Valimaki tied the game at two with his second goal in his stint in Stockton. Buddy Robinson then lit the lamp just 1:17 later to take a 3-2 lead.

- Glenn Gawdin's shorthanded goal was his first, and the fourth for Stockton in the Heat's last four games.

- Dillon Dube's three-point night allowed him to hit the 30-point mark in 27 games with Stockton this season. His 30th point came on his 10th goal of the season.

- Alan Quine recorded his team-best 13th multi

- Jon Gillies stopped 34 of 36 shots faced on the night and has won four of his last five starts.

- The Heat have now won four-straight home games.
