Stockton Heat News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - Led by a three-point effort from Dillon Dube, the Stockton Heat overcame a slow start en route to a 5-2 win over divisional foe San Diego Friday night at Stockton Arena. The Heat fell behind 2-0 in the game's opening period until Tyler Graovac put Stockton on the board, cutting the deficit in half just 25 seconds after the Gulls scored their second of the night. The second period was all Stockton, which got goals from Juuso Valimaki, Buddy Robinson and Glenn Gawdin over a span of just 3:42 to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 edge. Dube's tally in the third put the nail in the coffin with his 10th goal and 30th point of the season for a 5-2 lead. Jon Gillies was once again strong between the pipes for the Heat, turning away 34 of 36 shots faced in the contest.
