Coyotes Assign Demers to Tucson for Conditioning

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Jason Demers to the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL) for conditioning purposes.

The 30-year-old Demers has missed the Coyotes' last 46 games with a lower-body injury. Prior to that, Demers recorded 1-2-3 and six penalty minutes (PIM) in 18 games with the Coyotes this season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Dorval, QC had registered 44-150-194 and 350 PIM in 591 career NHL games with the Coyotes, San Jose Sharks, Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers.

Demers was drafted by the Sharks in the seventh round (186th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
