Abbotsford Heat News Release


ABBOTSFORD BC - Sergei Shirokov would score twice and Tyler Weiman would turn aside 27 shots as the Manitoba Moose would skate away with a 4-0 win over the Abbotsford Heat on Monday night in the lone AHL contest.

Mario Bliznak and Marco Rosa would add singles for the Moose in the win, while Matt Keetley would be chased from the Abbotsford nets after allowing 3 goals on 15 shots. Leland Irving would mop up in the nets for the Heat and turn aside 10 of 11 shots in relief.

Manitoba Moose goaltender Tyler Weiman would have a solid outing stopping all 27 shots including 17 third period shots en route to his first shutout of the season.

The Abbotsford Heat will look for redemption tomorrow evening, Tuesday January 4th as they take on the same Manitoba Moose at the Abbotsford Sports and Entertainment Centre. The puck drops on all the action at 7 PM.
