Aeros Loan Morency, Zingoni to Bakersfield

HOUSTON --- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has loaned right wing Pascal Morency and center Peter Zingoni to the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

Morency, 28 (2/20/82), was recalled by Houston on Dec. 28 and appeared in three games, registering seven penalty minutes (PIM). He has also played in 12 games this season for Bakersfield. At the time of his recall to Houston, he was tied for third on the Condors with eight goals and was second with 57 PIM. Highlights for the Condors this season include a pair of multi-goal goal games, including a hat trick on Nov. 3 vs. Alaska. The 5-foot-10, 196-pound Montreal native was signed as a free agent last summer after spending three seasons with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL).

Zingoni, 29 (4/28/81), will join Bakersfield for his second stint this season. He was recalled from the Condors on Dec. 21 after being assigned by the Aeros on Dec. 8. With the Aeros, Zingoni made his season debut on Dec. 4 after missing the first 25 games with an injury. He has seen action in five total games with Houston and has registered four PIM. Zingoni appeared in four games with Bakersfield, registering three points (1+2=3) and a plus-4 rating. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Bridgeport, Conn., native was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the eighth round (232nd overall) of the 2000 NHL Draft and turned pro in 2004 after four seasons at Providence College (Hockey East).
