Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that forward Jeff Hazelwood has agreed to terms with the team and will join the line-up in time for tomorrow's road game against the Ontario Reign.
Hazelwood, 27, is back for his third stint with the team after playing his first pro season in Las Vegas in 2009-10. The 6-foot, 185-pound forward tallied eight goals and 20 points that year, and returned to the Wranglers for 14 games at the end of last season, recording two goals and two assists. Originally from Dublin, Calif., Hazelwood has primarily played in the Central Hockey League the past two seasons, picking up 26 goals and 61 points in 97 games between the Texas Brahmas, Laredo Bucks and Arizona Sundogs.
The Wranglers play the Ontario Reign in a road game on Wednesday, Jan. 16, before returning home on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 7:05 p.m. to face the Colorado Eagles. For that game, the team will wear specialty 10th "FANniversary" jerseys featuring photos of 10-year season ticket holders, and celebrate the milestone throughout the game. The jerseys, presented by Diamondback Land Surveying, will be auctioned during the game on the Orleans Arena concourse and proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital of Nevada at UMC.
Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, group events are available at all home games, including pre-game ice skating parties, private luxury suites, and rink-side catered party boxes. Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers. Take advantage of the best deals by calling the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-PUCK . The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
