Harrisburg Bats Quiet in Loss to Erie

July 12, 2015 - Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Harrisburg Senators fell behind early and struggled to piece together a rally in an 8-1 loss to the Erie Seawolves Sunday at Metro Bank Park. The Senators (44-46) will try to secure a series split tomorrow afternoon before observing the Eastern League All-Star break.

Dakota Bacus struggled in his 10th start with Harrisburg, allowing seven runs on 10 hits in four innings. Wander Suero and Bryan Harper combined for three scoreless innings out of the Senators' bullpen before Erie scored a run off Erik Davis in the top of the eighth inning.

After double-digit hits in each of the first two games of the series, Harrisburg was limited to six hits Sunday. Shawn Pleffner (double and a walk) and Jose Lozada (single and a walk) both reached twice for the Senators Sunday. Pleffner was driven in by an RBI single from Isaac Ballou in the bottom of the fifth inning for the Senators only run of the afternoon.

The final game of this series will begin Monday at noon. The pregame show will begin at 11:45 a.m. on Fox Sports 1460am, iHeart Radio, and on Tune In.
