NEWS AND NOTES

SUNDAY FUNDAY: The Sea Dogs and Binghamton Mets play game three of their four-game series on Sunday afternoon at Hadlock Field...Binghamton has won 10 straight games at Hadlock Field, dating back to the 2014 Eastern Division Championship Series...Tomorrow afternoon is the season-series finale and the final game before the All-Star Break...RHP Luis Diaz seeks his first win at home since July 5, 2014 in Game 2 of a doubleheader against New Britain.

BIG HITS EARLY: Joe Benson hit a three-homer with two outs in the first and Dustin Lawley followed with a solo-shot, aiding the B-Mets to a 6-1 win over the Sea Dogs on Saturday night...Portland scored their lone run in the fifth inning off winning pitcher Robert Gsellman (3-5)...Keury De La Cruz (3-for-4) tripled and scored on a ground out by Jake Romanski...Danny Rosenbaum (0-1) made the start for Portland and took the loss, lasting just one inning on four runs, three walks and two hits.
