Grizzlies Tie Second Straight

Hartford, Connecticut - The Grizzlies and Wolf Pack had their work cut out for them to top their 10-6 contest four days ago. Tonight the team's put on a different show this time of the defensive variety as they skated to a two all tie. For Utah it was their second straight game that ended in a tie and it procured two points for the Grizzlies on their three-game road trip (0-1-2).

Hartford started the scoring with a power play goal by Ted Donato (his fifth point in the last two games versus Utah) in the first period accounting for the only goal by either team in the opening stanza.

The Wolf Pack would add to their lead with another power play goal this time from the point when Matt Kinch fired a failed clearing attempt by Utah past Corey Hirsch giving the Pack a 2-0 lead after two period.

On Wednesday, the Grizzles came back from a two goal deficit twice only to eventually lose but tonight the comeback would succeed in gaining the Grizz a point. Barrett Heisten started the comeback with his third goal of the season and second against his former team. Eric Chouinard would tie the game just over two minutes later with a power play goal (his fifth goal in his last three games). Greg Hawgood drew an assist on Chouinard's goal extending his point streak to eight straight games (1-9-10). Eric Landry helped on both Grizzlies' goals.

Neither team could find the net throughout the remainder of the game as each team would gain a point. The Grizzlies win the season series with a 2-1-1 record versus Hartford.
