Florida Everblades News Release

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades President/GM Craig Brush announced today that rookie goaltender Daniel Boisclair is headed back to play junior hockey. Boisclair has been out of the lineup since November 19th after he was diagnosed with anemia. The St. Augustin, Quebec native has played in 4 games with Florida this season and has registered an 0-2-1 record including a 4.03 GAA and a .824 save percentage. "The Carolina Hurricanes feel that it would be in Daniel's best interest and best for his development to return to junior hockey to play an overage year," explained Everblades President/GM Craig Brush. Boisclair has returned home and will join a junior team shortly after the holidays.

In related roster moves, Florida released defenseman Jaroslav Kerestes. The Presov, Czech native saw action in 3 games with the Everblades and notched 1 assist and 6 penalty minutes.

Florida then returns home to take on the Ice Pilots at TECO Arena on Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 7:30 PM.
