Grizzlies Skate Past Alaska, 2-1

West Valley City, Utah - Jimmie Kraft scored his first-ever ECHL goal with 4:45 left in regulation as the Utah Grizzlies defeated the Alaska Aces 2-1 Wednesday night at the E-Center.

The Grizzlies needed the goal after Alaska's Kevin Croxton tied the game at one with 8:55 left in regulation.

Utah jumped to a 1-0 lead at 14:43 of the second when Mike Wirll scored his fifth goal of the year assisted by Andy Sertich and Ryan Kinasewich as Utah skated on the 5-on-3 power-play.

Rob McVicar stopped 32 of 33 Alaska shots for his third win of the season.

Utah (3-4-2) and Alaska (4-3) rematch Friday and Saturday at the E-Center with face-offs scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
