Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release

PENSACOLA, FL -- The Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL announced today that they have completed a trade with the Phoenix RoadRunners.

The Ice Pilots have sent defenseman Stuart Kerr to the RoadRunners for forward Travis Lisabeth and defenseman Nikita Korovkin.

"We are excited about this recent trade," said Director of Player Personnel George Dupont. "We feel that both players add value to our roster. Lisabeth has proven himself to be a solid ECHL player who can contribute at both ends of the ice, while Korovkin gives us a solid puck moving defenseman that can contribute in many areas."

Kerr, a native of Carberry, Manitoba, had yet to play a game this season for the Ice Pilots following shoulder surgery at the conclusion of the 2005-2006 season. Kerr appeared in 17 games last season and had one point and 25 penalty minutes for the club.

The Langton, Ontario native spent the 2005-2006 season with the Columbia Inferno where he had 18 goals and 32 assists for 50 points along with 95 penalty minutes, in 60 games.

In nine games with the RoadRunners this season, the former Ontario Hockey League product had three goals and an assist for four points and 16 penalty minutes.

Nikita Korovkin appeared in six games for the RoadRunners and two points and 12 penalty minutes. The Zlatoust, Russia native spent the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons with the San Diego Gulls where he played in 134 games, notching 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points and 182 penalty minutes.

Korovkin spent four years in the Western Hockey League with the Kamloops Blazers and the Tri-City Americans where he played in 246 games and had 36 goals and 71 assists for 107 points and 305 penalty minutes.
