
Titans' Riddle returns from Phantoms

TRENTON, NJ (November 9, 2006) - The Trenton Titans announced on Thursday that forward Troy Riddle has returned to the team after being released from his professional tryout agreement with the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL).
The Titans' leading scorer (3g, 1a) at the time of his call-up on October 24, the 25-year old third-year pro skated in three games for the Phantoms. A former fourth round draft pick (#129 overall) of St. Louis in 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Riddle spent the past two seasons within the Blues organization. After 55 games last year with the Peoria Rivermen (AHL), Riddle was assigned to the Alaska Aces and helped lead them to the 2006 Kelly Cup with 11 points (6g, 5a) in 28 total regular season and playoff games. Riddle split his rookie year in 2004-05 with the Rivermen and Worcester Icecats (AHL).
A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Riddle was a four-year letterman at the University of Minnesota. He totaled 72 goals and 96 assists in 171 games with the Gophers while also finishing as their second-leading scorer his junior and senior seasons.
