Utah Grizzlies News Release

Las Vegas, Nevada- The Utah Grizzlies cruised to their seventh straight win on the strength of five goals and solid goaltending, defeating the Las Vegas Wranglers 5-0.

Utah got on the scoreboard early in the first period when Ryan Kinasewich found Trevor Baker at the 22 second mark to take a 1-0 lead. Then Baker and Kinasewich hooked up with Louis Dumont to double the lead just 2:16 into the period.

In the second period, Kinasewich picked up his 27th goal of the season on the power play just over two minutes in, and goaltender Alfie Michaud turned aside all 9 shots by the Wranglers to keep them off the scoreboard going into the second intermission.

The Grizzlies added insurance goals in the final frame, when Ed Hill put the puck through traffic from the point, and then Garett Cameron had a breakaway late in the period and found the back of the net for his 19th goal.

Michaud stopped all 28 shots that he faced from Las Vegas for his second shutout of the season, and the Grizzlies (28-19-4) dealt the Wranglers (36-9-5) just their second regulation home loss of the year.

Ryan Kinasewich (1 goal, 2 assists) Louis Dumont (1 goal, 2 assists), Ed Hill (1 goal, 1 assist), and Trevor Baker (1 goal, 1 assist) all had multi-point nights for the Grizzlies.
