LAS VEGAS - The Las Vegas Wranglers used four power play goals and a shorthanded goal to cruise to a 6-1 victory over the Fresno Falcons last night at The Orleans Arena.

A fluke goal against during Fresno's first power play set the tone for the entire evening. The Wranglers' Dan Tudin slid a puck from the blue line toward Falcons goaltender Jamie Holden, who simply fanned on the puck while trying to move it to the corner, and Las Vegas led 1-0 3:28 into the game. Matt Dzieduszycki then added to his team's lead by crashing the net for a rebound at 10:29 on the power play. Fresno scored its only goal of the game with the man advantage. Shawn Mather's wrist shot from the top of the right circle found its way through traffic and past Wranglers goaltender Marc Magliarditi at 13:28, bringing the club within one.

Trailing 2-1 entering the second, the Falcons began to play undisciplined, enduring a string of 10 straight Las Vegas power plays that lasted well into the third. The Wranglers cashed in their second power play goal at 11:59 off a slapshot from point blank range by Shawn Limpright, and opened up a commanding 4-1 edge just 58 seconds later when Steve Crampton found a loose puck at the side of the net for the game's only even strength goal.

The Falcons' penalty kill continued to have trouble in the third, as they gave-up a five-on-three goal at 2:26 of the period to Crampton for his second of the game, followed by a five-on-four power play goal off the stick of Marco Peluso at 5:36 to complete the scoring.

The four power play goals against and 13 shorthanded situations were both season highs for the Falcons, which fell to 29-10-10 on the year. Coupled with a 3-1 loss on Tuesday to the Idaho Steelheads, the club suffered back-to-back regulation losses for only the second time all season.

Fresno stays on the road tonight when they travel to face the Stockton Thunder at 7:30 p.m. The live radio broadcast will be joined in progress on 1550 Sporting News Radio beginning at approximately 8:45 p.m. Fans may also view the game online courtesy of B2 Networks, which can be accessed via the Falcons home page at www.fresnofalcons.com. The B2 Networks webcast will begin with the opening drop of the puck at 7:30 p.m.
