Wranglers Shutout By Grizzlies 5-0

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were shutout 5-0 by the Utah Grizzliees on Saturday night in front of 7,087 fans at the Orleans Arena. Utah goalie Alfie Michaud made 28 saves as Las Vegas was shutout for the first time all season. The Wranglers suffered only their second loss of the season at home. The Grizzlies won their eighth straight game behind the offense of Louis Dumont and Ryan Kinasewich, both with a goal and two assists. Las Vegas will host Victoria on Tuesday at 7:05 pm.

Utah scored twice in the first period as Trevor Baker started the scoring just 22-seconds into the game for his fifth of the season. Less than two minutes later, Dumont registrered his 11th of the season, powering the Grizzlies to a 2-0 lead.

In the second period, Kinasewich scored his 27th goal of the season on the power play at 2:09, pushing the Grizzlies lead to 3-0.

In the third period, Utah added two more goals, the first one coming at 12:12 from Ed Hill on the power play for the 4-0 Grizzlies lead. Garett Cameron scored his 19th at 15:42 to stretch the Utah lead to 5-0.

The Wranglers welcome the Victoria Salmon Kings on Tuesday at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will conclude their six-game home stand with Idaho next Friday and Saturday at 7:05 pm.
