TRENTON, NJ - Kiel McLeod's two-goal game helped lead the way for the Trenton Titans to down the Johnstown Chiefs by the score 5-2 at the Sovereign Bank Arena.

A season-high crowd of 7,143 saw the Titans take the lead just 1:19 in when McLeod beat Morgan Cey with a wrist shot for his third goal in two games.

Matt Maglione would helped extend that lead forty-eight seconds into the second period as he batted Jim Henkel's centering pass into the net for a shorthanded tally - Trenton's seventh of the season.

As they did last night, the Chiefs would battle back. Zbynek Hrdel picked up two goals - both even-strength and on the power play - over a span of 3:38 to make the score 2-2 at 8:09 of the middle frame.

Chris Pittman gave the Titans the lead for good as he took a drop pass from Peter Zingoni and unleashed a wrist shot past Cey's glove 4:54 before the second intermission.

McLeod notched his second goal of the game and his second consecutive two-goal contest at 6:42 of the third period before Peter Tormey clinched the 5-2 victory with an empty-netter.

Scott Stirling picked up his fourth win in five starts by making 27 of 29 saves.

The Titans went 3-of-4 on penalty kill while being held scoreless on three power play chances.

The Trenton Titans finish the weekend on Sunday, February 19 against the Reading Royals at 3:35pm. Fans can tune into WBCB 1490AM or go to www.trentontitans.com to listen or watch live courtesy of b2 Networks.
