Chris Leinweber and Dan Sullivan both scored twice for the Augusta Lynx as they recorded their third straight win, a 5-2 triumph over the Columbia Inferno on Saturday night.

Leinweber scored his second goal in as many nights to open the game after Anthony Battaglia and Ryan Lang wreaked havoc in the Columbia zone, banging bodies with reckless abandon to set up a clear point shot for the Lynx defenseman. Leinweber beat Columbia netminder Jani Hurme over the left shoulder by tucking the puck just under the crossbar at 11:02 for the 1-0 lead.

Augusta (22-25-4) would follow that with a power play marker at 16:31 from Sullivan, who tipped a pass from Sam Ftorek after Joel Stepp flattened an Inferno player to free the puck and send it to the point. From there Ftorek found Sullivan parked in front for the 2-0 advantage after 20 minutes of play.

The second period belonged to the Inferno (18-30-5), as they would score twice to even the game. Derek Eastman notched a power play goal at 4:20 followed by Marc-Andre Bernier's even strength goal at 11:07 to knot the game at 2-2 through two periods of play.

For the final frame, the Lynx shifted into overdrive, scoring three times to seal the win. Sullivan's second of the night and the eventual game winner came at 4:00 from Stepp and Lundberg, while Leinweber followed with his second of the evening followed with his second from Wright and Lang. Brian Passmore finished the scoring off for Augusta at 13:09 to wrap up the 5-2 win.

Jason Wolfe played extremely well for the Lynx, stopping 28 shots en route to the win. Hurme finished the game with 22 saves in taking the loss. Augusta finished the night 1-for-6 on the power play while Columbia finished 1-for-3.

Augusta will get back into action this Tuesday and Thursday in Pensacola, followed by a road contest in Charleston, South Carolina against the Stingrays. The Lynx' next home game will come on March 8th against the Ice Pilots at 7:35 pm.
