Grizzlies' captain and the ECHL's all-time leading scorer, Louis Dumont, scored unassisted with 1:44 left in overtime, lifting Utah to a 6-5 victory over the Steelheads in front of 4,547 fans at Qwest Arena on Saturday night.

With the win, the Grizzlies (14-9-2) avoided being swept in their four meetings in Boise, as the Steelheads (15-6-2) had won the previous three games at Qwest Arena. The Steelheads fall to 8-4-1 on home ice, but they maintain a two point lead over the Grizzlies for third place in the West Division.

For the fourth straight game of the season series, the Steelheads scored first, as David Bararuk potted his third goal in as many nights, to make the score 1-0. With the marker, Bararuk continued his season-long, home scoring streak. He now has 17 points in just 10 contests.

Utah countered just 51 seconds after Bararuk scored, tying the game at one. Ryan Kinasewich tallied his first of three goals, with the lone assist to rookie Matt Craig. Off an offensive zone draw, Kinasewich wheeled into the slot and ripped a shot over the glove of goaltender Matt Yeats (26 saves).

Then, D.J. Jelitto recorded his first professional goal with 3:30 left in the first period, to give the Grizzlies their first lead in four games against their closest division foe.

At period's end, the shots were nine to six in favor of the Grizzlies, and the visitors held a one-goal advantage.

Kinasewich scored on the power play at 5:17 of the middle frame, making the score 3-1. Defenseman Tom Reimann and Dumont drew the helpers.

The Steelheads cut the deficit to one with 9:15 left in the stanza, when leading scorer Garett Bembridge scored on the man advantage. Defenseman Jonathan Zion and forward Justin Cox got the assists.

D'Arcy McConvey chipped in his 13th of the campaign with the lone assist going to Kevin Gardner.

Bembridge made it a 5-3 with 1:08 left in the second period with his second power play goal of the game. His goal marked the first time this season a Steelheads player has tallied twice on the man advantage in a single game.

In the third period, the Grizzlies crept closer on a goal by winger Jeff Miles. Miles was left alone out in front of Yates, and he made a move, slipping the puck past the sprawled out netminder.

Nine seconds after Miles scored, the visitors tied it, as Kinasewich capped of the hat trick at 12:58 of the third period. Craig registered his third assist of the evening on the play, while Jelitto picked up the other assist.
