Blues Call-Up Goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu From Alaska

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President & General Manager Larry Pleau today announced the club has called-up goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu from its East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Alaska Aces. In addition the Blues have placed forwards Dallas Drake and Keith Tkachuk on the injured reserve list, along with goaltender Curtis Sanford, and have activated defenseman Eric Brewer from the injured reserve list.

Beckford-Tseu, 21, has played in 11 games this season with the Aces, posting a 9-0-2 record, one shutout and a 1.96 goals-against average, which leads the league. He captured ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors for the weeks ending Oct. 30 and Nov. 20 and is the only player to win the award twice this season. The Toronto, Ontario native was originally drafted by St. Louis as a fifth-round selection, 159th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Drake has been listed with a sore back and is considered day-to-day, Tkachuk's right hand was fractured during last night's game in Chicago and he is expected to be out 4-6 weeks, and Sanford incurred a hip flexor injury last night.

Brewer has missed the last 10 games due to a shoulder injury suffered on Nov. 16 at Columbus. He has played in 18 games this season, recording six points (four goals, two assists) and 35 penalty minutes.
