SAUGET, Ill. - The Grizzlies pushed past the Miners of Southern Illinois 6-1 to salvage contest number three of the home series, while snapping a five game skid at GCS Ballpark on Monday night.

Grizzlies (17-18) starter Chris Enourato (2-2) earned the win as he hurled seven strong innings in a five hit, one run performance. The righty from West Virginia offered only two free passes while dealing six strikeouts to the Miners (21-15) bats in the timely two hour and thirty-six minute game, qualifying for only the second quality start in Gateway's last six outings.

Brian Fowler (3-2) was charged the loss for the visiting Miners as his final ledger read four runs, two earned, on four hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

Aaron Conway spearheaded the Grizzlies efforts offensively, providing a two-run homerun in a four-run sixth inning to give the club a much-needed cushion. The speedy Missouri State product finished 2-for-4 with two runs and two batted in. Jon Myers also aided in the win, batting 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a double.

The Grizzlies will take Tuesday off and get back to work on Wednesday as they battle the Florence Freedom in Florence, Kentucky. Right hander Tim Brown (3-2) will toe the rubber for Gateway as he seeks his fourth win of the 2012 season.
