
Grizzlies Outshoot Bakersfield: Lose 4-1

Bakersfield, California - The Grizzlies (30-29-2-8) for the first time in a few games out-shot there opponents showing signs of offense that has not been there the past few games. However, unable to put the puck in the net fell in Bakersfield 4-1.
The Condors took a 1-0 lead 8:31 into the first period when Dale Reinhardt scored a shorthanded goal.
Bakersfield took a 2-0 lead 14:02 into the second when Mark Derlago beat Wylie Rogers. The Grizzlies cut the lead in half with under a minute left in the second period. Rob Sirianni scored unassisted and the goal was shorthanded.
Bakersfield however, answered right back when Derlago scored his second of the game less than a minute into the third period. Chris Di Ubaldo tallied on another for the Condors 13:21 into the third period.
Wylie Rogers stopped 34 of 38 shots.
The Grizzlies on a positive note finished the regular season above .500 on the road with a record of 17-15-0-4. Also, Keith Johnson and Justin Bourne have returned from Bridgeport.
The Grizzlies complete their 2007-2008 regular season Thursday, Friday and Saturday hosting Stockton at the E-Center. Face-off all three nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Utah has clinched a playoff berth for the second time in three seasons. The ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs are scheduled to begin the following week.
