All-Stars Johnson And Bourne Return From Bridgeport

Bakersfield, California - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that all-star forwards Justin Bourne and Keith Johnson have been returned to the team from the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Both skaters represented Utah during the 2008 ECHL All-Star festivities in Stockton, California. The two will join the Grizzlies tonight in Bakersfield as they complete their regular season road schedule at 8:00 p.m.

The Grizzlies are a proud affiliate of the Sound Tigers and the NHL's New York Islanders.

Johnson was recalled to Bridgeport last Wednesday. He is currently the Grizzlies leading goal scorer with 26. Despite two separate promotions to Bridgeport this year, he is still the Grizzlies third-leading scorer with 52 points behind Ryan Kinasewich and Scott Burt.

Bourne was recalled to Bridgeport February 14 and had three goals and two assists in 13 games with the Sound Tigers during that span. With Utah this season, Bourne has 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points in 46 games.

The Grizzlies complete their 2007-2008 regular season Thursday, Friday and Saturday hosting Stockton at the E-Center. Face-off all three nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Utah has clinched a playoff berth for the second time in three seasons. The ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs are scheduled to begin next week.
