March 31, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that the team's first-ever fundraiser for the Valley Animal Center over the weekend was a success.

In addition to monetary funds, the Valley Animal Center collected chew toys, canned food, and treats during the Falcons three home games over the past weekend. Nearly 200 chew toys were collected during a "Chew Toy Toss" during the second intermission of Sunday's game against Victoria. During each of the three games, the Falcons highlighted a "Pet of the Game" on the video board, encouraging fans to visit the Valley Animal Center booth on the concourse at Save Mart Center.

The Valley Animal Center, San Joaquin Valley's premier no-kill shelter, is a non-profit humane society offering progressive programs, innovative approaches, caring and knowledgeable staff, and a second chance for the Valley's homeless pets to find new homes.

The Falcons play their final home game of the 2007-08 regular season, and the final regular season game ever at Save Mart Center, on Tuesday hosting the Stockton Thunder at 7:00 p.m. It's Fan Appreciation Night presented by the U.S. Army. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive a Falcons team trading card set, and during the first intermission, the finals of the Central Valley Pushup Challenge take place on the ice. It's also a Two-for-Tuesday, presented by Carl's Jr., KMPH Fox 26, and KRZR 103.7 FM. Fans can stop by any local Carl's Jr., and pick up a voucher allowing them to purchase one ticket at regular price and get a second ticket for free.

Tickets for all Falcons home games can be purchased at the Save Mart Center Box Office, or through TicketMaster at (559) 485-8497 or www.ticketmaster.com. All Falcons' games are broadcast on 790 ESPN Radio, The Deuce, starting 15 minutes prior to face-off with the Port of Subs Pre-Game Show.
