Grizzlies Make Roster Moves

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies announced today that they have re-called center David Bararuk from the Idaho Steelheads, the Grizzlies ECHL affiliate, and have signed defenseman David Cornacchia to a contract and assigned him to Idaho.

Bararuk, 20, has played in 42 games with Utah this season scoring three goals and adding seven assists. In 15 games with Idaho this season, the rookie posted seven goals and eight helpers. The Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan native was originally a fifth round selection of the Dallas Stars in the 2002 National Hockey League entry draft.

Cornacchia, 23, played 13 games (one assist) with Utah earlier this season under a professional try-out agreement. In 47 games with Idaho, the Toronto native has eight goals with 29 assists for 37 points with 86 penalty minutes. His 29 assists are first among all Steelhead players and his 37 points are tops among Idaho defenseman and second overall. His 37 points are tied for ninth among all ECHL blueliners.

The Grizzlies host Cincinnati tomorrow night at the 'E' Center with face-off scheduled for 7:05 PM.
