Cleveland Barons News Release
CLEVELAND â The San Jose Sharks announced today that forward Miroslav Zalesak and defenseman Christian Ehrhoff were reassigned to the Cleveland Barons. Doug Wilson, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Sharks, made the announcement.
Zalesak, 24, was leading the AHL in scoring with 68 points (30 goals, 38 assists) in 61 games and his 30 goals were second in the AHL and his 36 assists were tied for third at the time of his recall in March 6. He played in two games with San Jose, posting no points. Zalesak was selected by San Jose in the fourth round (104th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
Ehrhoff has appeared in 41 games with San Jose this season, posting 12 points (one goal, 12 assists), along with 14 penalty minutes. Chosen by San Jose in the fourth round (106th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Ehrhoff also added six points (three goals, three assists) in 11 games with Cleveland this season. This will mark Ehrhoff's third stint in Cleveland this season.
Both players are expected to be in the lineup on Friday night when the Cleveland Barons battle the Manitoba Moose in Winnipeg. The game can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1350-AM at 8:30pm.
Barons tickets can be purchased at all TicketMaster Outlets, the Gund Arena Box Office, and charge-by-phone by calling 216-241-5555. More information about the Barons is available by calling 216-420-0000 or by Crashing The Net at www.clevelandbarons.net.
