Grizzlies Look To Down Aeros For Second Straight Game

The Grizzlies (15-35-0-3) and the Houston Aeros (24-20-4-3) meet tonight for the fifth time this season and for the second consecutive game. Utah pulled out a 2-1 shootout victory on Monday afternoon versus the Aeros using Erik Westrum's game-deciding goal in the extra session to earn the extra point. Fredrik Sjostrom scored the Grizzlies regulation goal and Jamie Storr improved to 3-1 since being acquired from Springfield almost two weeks ago allowing just one goal on 36 shots seeing his save percentage increase to .960 and his goals against average drop to 1.48. The season series between the two teams is tied at two wins apiece. After tonight's game, the Grizzlies head back on the road with four straight divisional games in front of them.

Tonight's Storylines:

- Utah is 4-1-0-1 in their last six home games.

- Jamie Storr is 3-1 with a 1.48 GAA and a .960 save percentage since joining the Grizzlies

- Left wing Aaron Gavey is one assist shy of 200 professional assists.

- Jarrod Skalde is one assist shy of 500 professional assists.

- Houston leads the league with an 89.4% success rate on the penalty kill.

- Former Grizzlies John Erskine, Mike Smith and David Bararuk all are on the current Houston roster.

- Forwards Martin Podlesak (shoulder), Sheldon Keefe (knee), Doug Doull (upper body) and Jeff Taffe (facial injuries) along with defenseman Rick Berry (lower body) are all out of the line-up for Utah.

Next Game: The Grizzlies will hit the road on Saturday for a tilt with the Chicago Wolves at the Allstate Arena. Face-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM (mst).
