The Situation
Utah (13-9-0-1) currently owns the tie-breaker for second place in the Mountain Division as they play three games in four nights with Colorado starting Wednesday at Maverik Center.
Wednesday/Friday
Wednesday and Friday, the Grizzlies will debut their black 2011-2012 3rd Jerseys. During the second intermission Wednesday, Captain Nick Tuzzolino will give the jersey off of his back to the winning bidder in a silent auction. Minimum bid is $450, call (801) 988-6084 to get in on the bidding early.
Utah Versus Colorado
The Grizzlies have played the Eagles six times since November 9 and are 4-1-0-1 against them this season. Utah took five of six standings points from the Eagles by going 2-0-0-1 in their most recent meetings December 2-4.
Against The Eagles
Mitch Fadden leads all scorers in the series with two goals and 10 assists for 12 points in six games. Paul McIlveen leads Utah with five goals, including a hat trick December 3.
Close Games
Utah's propensity for one-goal games has not ended with the Eagles. Five of the six games between Utah and Colorado have been decided by a goal and three of the six contests have gone to shootouts with the final being 5-4.
Goals
With five goals, on Utah's recent five-game road trip, Paul McIlveen took sole possession of the team lead in goals scored with nine. McIlveen leads the ECHL since that road trip started with five goals.
Returning
Justin Dowling returned from Calgary's AHL affiliate in Abbotsford for this weekend's trip to Alaska and led the team with two points in three games on one goal and one assist.

Utah has led or been tied in 19 of their 23 games after one period and trailed after one period only once at home in 13 games.
