Utah Grizzlies News Release

The Situation

The Grizzlies enter this week with a 12-6 record after going 9-4 during the month of November. Utah is currently 5-2 through the first seven games of their season-long ten-game home stand. The 12-6 start is still Utah's best since joining the ECHL in 2005-2006.

November Recap

Nine wins in a month was the most for the Grizzlies since they recorded nine wins in February of 2008, tying their second best month in the last five years. Utah went 10-2-2 in February of 2006.

Individual Recap

AJ Perry led the Grizzlies in November scoring and finished tied for fourth-place in the ECHL in November with six goals and 11 assists. Perry has five goals and 11 assists in his last 10 games and had a seven-game scoring streaked snapped Saturday.

Goaltender Of The Month Materiel?

Grizzlies goaltender Mitch O'Keefe led the ECHL in November with eight wins and had his ECHL season-high eight-game winning streak snapped Friday. O'Keefe had a 2.17 goals-against-average and a.913 save percentage in November.

Heating Up

Tom May has five goals in his last six games for Utah after tallying one score in the Grizzlies first 12 games. Last year, May had 27 of his 31 goals after January 1 and was also named an ECHL All-Star during his rookie season.

In Case You Missed It

The Grizzlies captain and all-time leading scorer Ryan Kinasewich returned to the team Saturday after two weeks with the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs. In his return to the E-Center, Kinasewich led the Grizzlies with nine shots on goal.

Ontario Reign

Last year, Utah took two of three from Ontario at the E-Center and went 4-1-0-1 against the Reign overall. Ontario continues their road trip this week after being swept in two-straight games by Victoria last weekend by a combined score of 7-1.
