
Condors Run The Table On Six-Game Homestand

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors took both games of a holiday weekend set against the Las Vegas Wranglers to wrap up their six-game homestand with a perfect 6-0-0 record. The action last weekend included the 11th annual Teddy Bear Toss, which drew the 5th largest crowd in team history.
The Condors are 14-6-0 with 28 points in the standings, and widened their lead in the Pacific Division to ten points over second place Ontario. They have won eight in a row on home ice and nine of their last 10 overall.

F Mathieu Aubin had 1g-1a and G Timo Pielmeier made 31 saves as Bakersfield took down the Wranglers 4-1 Friday night. The Condors scored twice in the second and twice in the third period to take a 4-0 lead over Vegas, who foiled Pielmeier's bid for his first career shutout by scoring on the power play with just 11.3 seconds remaining in the game.

RW Stephane Goulet had a goal and an assist, including the goal that launched the biggest Teddy Bear Toss in team history (at over 8,000 stuffed animals) just 6:34 into the contest. C Matthew Myers and F Andrew Ianiero also tallied in the first period as Bakersfield led 3-0 after one. The Wranglers drew close with a couple of power play tallies, but G Timo Pielmeier and company held them back, sweeping the two-game set and ending the homestand with a perfect record.

PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
The Condors current eight-game home winning streak equals the team record set in 2005-06, when the team won their final eight home games.
The Condors crowd of 8,825 Saturday night was the 5th largest in team history, and their 3rd largest since joining the ECHL. Five of the seven largest crowds in team history have been recorded on Teddy Bear Toss Night, and the biggest crowd of the year for five straight seasons has been Teddy Bear Toss Night.
Timo Pielmeier put up a 6-1-0 record in November, riding a four-game win streak. He had a 2.07 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.
RW Stephane Goulet has recorded a point in each of his last seven games, with 4g-7a during the streak.
Head Coach Marty Raymond won his 200th Condors game on Saturday.
The results for this season's Teddy Bear Toss totaled 7,888 stuffed animals, a Condors record. In the event's 11-year history, 60,357 stuffed animals have been collected.
The Condors had a record of 10-2-0 during the month of November - their best November in team history.
It took only 20 games for the Condors to win 14 contests, the earliest the Condors have ever reached 14 wins in team history.
RW Dan Sexton scored his first AHL goal on Saturday for Manitoba. He added an assist in the game as well for his first AHL multi-point game.
ON THE DOCKET:
The Condors head out on the road this week for a two-game series against the Stockton Thunder on Friday and Saturday. Saturday's game is the Season Ticket Holder road trip to Stockton game. Bring the voucher in your season ticket booklet and turn it in at the Stockton Arena box office.
The team returns home the following weekend for a two-game series with the Utah Grizzlies on Dec. 11 and 12. Friday, Dec. 11 features a visit from the Oakland Raiderettes, sponsored by ABC23, 98.5 The Fox and Cal Water. On Saturday, Dec. 12 the Condors will wear special Pearl Harbor commemorative jerseys for a Jersey Raffle & Auction, sponsored by KUZZ 107.9, American Business Machines and Bud Light.
