Update

The Grizzlies wrapped up the week with their most convincing win of the year as they defeated Phoenix 6-1 Saturday night at the E-Center with only 13 skaters; due to five AHL call-ups last week. The Grizzlies currently sit at 16-15-6-7 on the season.

May Day!

Utah rookie all-star Tom May has a team season-high five-game goal-scoring streak and seven goals in his last seven games. He returned to the Utah lineup Friday after missing four-straight games injured and picked up right wear he left off.

Verbeek's 21st

Utah veteran Tim Verbeek scored his team-leading 21st goal of the year Saturday to extend his scoring streak to seven games. He has nine goals in his last eleven games.

Hennigar's Seeing Double Again

After adding three assists Saturday, rookie Rob Hennigar, who is currently under contract with the NHL's New York Islanders, has multiple-point games in six of his last nine games played. Three of those games have been three-point nights.

1st Hat Trick Of The Year

James Brannigan recorded three goals Saturday for the first Utah hat trick of the year. Last year, the Grizzlies had nine players record hat tricks.

The Goaltending Situation

The Grizzlies currently have three healthy goaltenders including rookie Peter Mannino, who is under contract with the New York Islanders. He has appeared as a backup and in game action with the NHL team this year. Dan Turple is a 2004 draft pick of the Atlanta Thrashers and is currently under contract with Atlanta. And of course Mike Mole, who has started consecutive stretches of 29 and 7 games this year for the Grizzlies.

Condors To Nest At The E-Center For Four-Straight

The Grizzlies welcome the Bakersfield Condors (16-26-3-3) to the E-Center Tuesday and Wednesday in what will be the first meetings between the two teams this year. When Utah returns from Las Vegas Sunday, the Condors will be waiting to take on the Grizzlies Monday, February 16 and Wednesday, February 18. Bakersfield is the only team in the National Conference that the Grizzlies haven't played this year.

At Home

The Grizzlies are in a stretch of nine of eleven games at home before heading to the road for eight-straight contests from February 24-March 8 when they will head for Boise, Alaska, Bakersfield, Ontario, Stockton and Bakersfield.
