MONKEY OFF OUR BACKS: The Bombers defeated the Reading Royals 4-2 on Wednesday night. Tomas Zaborsky and Mike McLean each had a goal and an assist, and Jarret Lukin and Justin Chwedoruk added goals, too. David Shantz, in his first game back in net for Dayton since November, was 25 of 27. The Bombers went 2 of 8 on the power play and 5 of 7 on the penalty kill.

HEARTBREAKER: The Bombers suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night on the road. Christian Gaudet led the team with a goal and an assist, while Justin Chwedoruk also had a goal. In net for the Bombers was David Shantz, who was 28 of 31.

HATS OFF: Hat tricks from Greg Labenski and Tomas Zaborsky led the Bombers to a 8-3 win over the Johnstown Chiefs on Saturday night at Hobart Arena. Labenski added an assist for a team-high four points on the night. The Bombers also got goals from Justin Bowers and Christian Gaudet, while Jarret Lukin added two assists. In goal, David Shantz went 15 of 18 for the win. The Bombers were 2 of 5 on the power play.

WEEKEND WRAP UP: Same two teams, totally different game. That was the story in Sunday's 2-1 loss by the Bombers at the hands of the Johnstown Chiefs. Despite Christian Gaudet putting the team up 1-0 in the second period, the Chiefs netted a goal in the second and third to take away the win. In net for the Bombers was Paul Drew, who finished the night 16 of 18. The Bombers fired 45 total shots at Johnstown's Ian Keserich.

ON A ROLL: After picking up his 8th goal of the season, Christian Gaudet extended his point streak to five games, totaling a trio of goals and 4 helpers in the span. Gaudet also has a three-game goal streak in the works. He's tallied 28 points (8g,20a) on the year.

ROCKIN' ROOKIE: New York Rangers' prospect Tomas Zaborsky recorded his first professional hat trick on Saturday night. He tallied his second multi-point game in three nights, after a two-point performance on Wednesday against Reading. Zaborsky has six goals in his last six games.

WHAT A WEEK: It has been a week to remember for Bombers captain Greg Labenski. On Wednesday he skated in his 750th professional career game. Then on Saturday he had a hat trick (his first as a Bomber) en route to his 350th career point. Labenski has six points (4g,2a) in his last six games. He's the team's leading defensive scorer with 9 goals and 15 assists.

HEY NEW GUY: Since joining the Bombers from Stockton Thunder, forward Justin Chwedoruk has picked up 2 goals and 2 assists in five games.

MILE MARKERS: Greg Labenski surpassed 350 career points on Saturday night...Joe Van Culin had his 50th career point with an assist on Sunday
