Goaltender Daigneault Reassigned To Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League have reassigned goaltender Maxime Daigneault to the Charlotte Checkers today.

Daigneault, 6-foot-3, played one game in his recent stint with the Pack against the Lowell Devils coming into the game relieving former Checkers goalie Matt Zaba. Daigneault allowed two goals on 21 shots during 39 minutes of action. While in Charlotte, he has a record of 8-8 with a 3.20 goals against average and .899 save percentage in 17 games played. Daigneault was a 2nd round draft pick of the Washington Capitals during the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, he won the Kelly Cup with the Cincinnati Cyclones playing in seven post-season contests.

The Checkers are playing in their 16th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game will take place on Feb 12th against the Florida Everblades at 7:00 p.m. In the team's 15-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 11 times including four consecutive playoff appearances to date.
