Steve Ward Returned To Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Steve Ward has been returned to the Royals from the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. Ward, who was loaned to the Rampage on February 3, played four games with San Antonio, picking up four penalty minutes. This marked the second stint in the AHL this year for Ward, who played six games with the Albany River Rats earlier this season. Ward leads Reading defensemen with six goals and sixteen assists (twenty-two points) in thirty ECHL games this year.

The Royals season long seven game road trip continues Friday night (February 13 @ 7:05 pm et) when the team travels to Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to face the Johnstown Chiefs. Friday's game will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet via webcast hosted by Sportsjuice.com, which can be accessed through the Royals website.
