Dubuc Guests on Coach's Show
The South Carolina Stingrays and Voice of the Rays, Josh Heller, announced that Michael Dubuc will be the guest on this week's Coach's Show at Jim 'N Nicks Bar-B-Q. The Week That Was...
The South Carolina Stingrays played four games in a row against the division-leading Florida Everblades last week. With the home team taking advantage in the series, the Rays lost both games in Estero, FL but came back to win both games at the Coliseum.
On Tuesday, Florida scored five goals in the third period to overcome the 4-1 deficit and win 6-5. Five different Stingrays scored in the effort and Jeremy Duchesne stopped 31 shots.
On Wednesday, it was Florida that got out to the 4-1 lead, but the Stingrays could not battle back enough and lost 4-3. Scott Romfo scored his second goal in as many games. Jonathan Boutin made his Stingrays debut, stopping 27 shots, but left in the third period with cramps in his legs.
Friday night brought out a new team as Trent Campbell returned to the line-up. He scored two un-answered goals in the third period to top to Blades 4-3.
Michael Dubuc recorded his second four-goal game of the season Saturday night on route to a 6-2 victory. Boutin stopped 30 shots that night and the Stingrays were 4/11 on the power play.
