Utah Grizzlies News Release
Post All-Star Break Run
The Grizzlies will complete a stretch of seven games in nine nights this weekend with three-games-in-three-nights versus Alaska. Both of the Grizzlies off days during this period, which began Friday, have been travel days.
Trying To Start a Streak
Following last night's 3-2 come from behind win in Bakersfield, the Grizzlies are now unbeaten in their last two games; collecting three of a possible four points.
Better Than .500
Now at 20-19-0-4, the Grizzlies have had a winning percentage of .500 or better since November 30.
Good Goaltending
The Grizzlies have alternated goaltenders Mike Mole and Nathan Lawson over the last six games. Last night, Lawson stopped 33 of 35 Bakersfield shots in Utah's win. Mike Mole has a goals-against-average of 1.46 and a save percentage of .952 in his last two starts. Utah has allowed four goals or less in their last five games.
Kinasewich On The Board
With one goal and one assist last night in Bakersfield, Ryan Kinasewich has now scored in eight of ten games since returning to Utah from the Grizzlies and Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport. The third-year Grizzlies forward has three goals and 14 assists in 10 January games for Utah.
Mini Home Stand
Three games versus Alaska this weekend at the E-Center are the only three times over a current ten-game stretch where Utah will play at home.
One Chance To See Alaska
Rival Alaska will make their only trip to the E-Center this season Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Grizzlies have already made their only trip to Anchorage this year, taking two of three from the Aces December 28, 29 and 31.
