Birch Named Sea Wolves Vice President Of Marketing

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Wednesday that Chris Birch has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Birch previously held the position of Corporate Marketing Manager within the Sea Wolves front office.

"I'm looking forward to furthering Sea Wolves awareness and helping to raise the general interest level of hockey here on the coast," stated Birch who is a 2003 graduate of the University of Florida, and has previously worked in professional hcokey with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League and the Jacksonville Barracudas of the WHA2. "People that have been to games know what we're all about, see the value, enjoy themselves, and keep coming back. Sports fans that haven't gotten out to Sea Wolves games are really missing something special this year, and it's our responsibility to spread the word, reach those people and provide an outlet for folks to enjoy professional sports entertainment right in their backyard."

A native of the Chicago metropolitan area, Birch will manage the placement and content of Sea Wolves advertising, as well as create and schedule promotions and create and oversee the team's overall marketing plan.

"Chris has shown great leadership with this team and has a terrific will to succeed," said Sea Wolves president Bill Yates. "He has truly earned this opportunity through is analytical approach toward marketing the Sea Wolves and we're excited about his willingness to take on the added responsibilities."
