Grizzlies Fall 4-3 To Ice Dogs

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies were unable to hold a 3-1 first period lead and fell 4-3 to the Long Beach Ice Dogs Friday night at the E-Center.

In the first, Chris Trick finished a 3-on-2 rush setup up by Matt Craig and Ryan Kinasewich and Utah took a 1-0 lead 2:30 into the game. The Grizzlies took a 2-0 lead with Kinasewich (29th goal) capping off his 19th multiple-point game of the year with a power-play goal at 9:56. Matt Craig and Andy Sertich, who extended his scoring streak to seven, picked up assists. Utah countered 51 seconds after Long Beach made the score 2-1 with a power-play goal from D.J. Jelitto to make it 3-1.

Long Beach took over with three 5-on-5 goals in the second to take a 4-3 lead. They held on for the win.

The Grizzlies and Long Beach play the rubber match of their three-game series tomorrow. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at the E-Center. It is "Pooch on the Pond" with fans invited to bring their dogs to the game. Visit www.utahgrizzlies.com for more information.
