AUGUSTA, GA (February 9, 2007) - Garrett Bembridge and Mike Erickson each tallied two goals for the Augusta Lynx to send the Trenton Titans away from the James Brown Arena with a 5-2 loss on Friday night

The Lynx were all over the Titans in the first period, holding a 25-11 shot advantage in staking a 3-1 lead. Bembridge got the scoring started with a power play goal just 3:09 into the contest, but Troy Riddle tied the score for Trenton over two minutes later with his 17th goal of the season.

Augusta quickly retook their one-goal edge when Brian Passmore found Bembridge, this time stationed on the far post, for his second goal on the man-advantage. Erickson then allowed the Lynx to extend their lead to two when his wrist shot rattled off both posts before finding the back of the net at 14:59.

The newest Titan, Jake Ortmeyer, pulled his team with one as his point shot ricocheted off a stick, bounced over Lynx goalie Dave McKee and across the goal line for a power play goal at 14:40 of the second period.

That would be as close as Trenton would get, however, as Erickson put the game out reach scoring his second of the evening with 1:42 left in regulation.

The Titans went 1-for-5 on the man-advantage and 6-for-8 on the penalty kill.

The Titans complete their six-game road stretch with a match-up against the Columbia Inferno on Saturday, February 10 at 1:05pm. Listen to all of the Titans action live on 91.3FM-WTSR or at www.trentontitans.com courtesy of B2 Networks.
